Security & 2‑Step Verification

Project overview:

Ameriprise Financial aims to increase 2-Step Verification enrollment to increase client security and reduce fraud reports.

An enrollment campaign for 2-Step Verification was launched and our analytics showed that a significant number of clients did not engage with the campaign. To increase adoption on the mobile app, I was tasked with refreshing our enrollment campaign.

Process & collaboration:

  • User research: Partnered with the research team to validate user behavior. This insight allowed me to reprioritize the messaging hierarchy. 

  • Competitive analysis: Gauged how competitors were talking about 2-Step Verification, paying attention to content strategy.

  • Content audit: Conducted an audit on various Ameriprise channels to understand how the business talked about 2-Step Verification. I identified a gap in our communication that was causing errors.

  • Content acceptance criteria: Collaborated with stakeholders to align on new messaging that would reach business goals.
